This SOLENT TOOLS Capacitor Stores 2.5uF /2.5MFD / 2.5 Microfarad. It Is 450VAC 50/60Hz And Can Be Used As A Start, A Run And A Start/Run Capacitor In AC Single Phase Motors. The Wire Is Approximately 20cm Long And Have 4mm Eyeletts On The End (If You Cannot Attach The Capitor WIres Using The Eyeletts Then You Can Cut Them Off And Use A Connection Block Or Crimp On The Correct Connectors).
Start Capacitors Briefly Increase Motor Starting Torque And Allow A Motor To Be Cycled On And Off Rapidly. A Start Capacitor Stays In The Circuit Long Enough To Rapidly Bring The Motor Up To A Predetermined Speed, Which Is Usually About 75% Of The Full Speed, And Is Then Taken Out Of The Circuit, Often By A Centrifugal Switch That Releases At That Speed.
Some Motors Require A Run Capacitor To Energize The Second-Phase Winding To Create A Rotating Magnetic Field While The Motor Is Running And Are Energized The Entire Time The Motor Is Running.
